We are back for a Fall Equinox Celebration!
Our time together will include a sound bath led by Porchlight Clinician and Percussionist, Ora Roby, and crafting an herbal electuary guided by Social Worker and Therapeutic Horticulturalist, Melanie Conover. Our celebration will take place on Thursday, September 24th from 6:00p to 7:30pm at the Franklinton Farms Patrick Kaufman Learning Garden: 164 Hawkes Avenue, Columbus OH 43222.
Sound baths are a deeply restorative immersive experience. As you lie or sit comfortably, you will be enveloped by the vibrational tones of Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and steel tongue drums. This meditative experience helps quiet the mind, release tension, and restore your natural state of balance. Accessible for all levels—no experience necessary.
At our Fall Equinox gathering, we'll craft a fall-inspired herbal electuary—a blend of powdered herbs and raw honey that can be enjoyed straight from the spoon, or stirred into hot water with a splash of milk or creamer. Together, we’ll infuse our herbal blends with personal intentions, creating a sweet reminder of what you are ready to let go of and what you wish to invite into your life this season. Attendees will leave with a jar of their personalized herbal electuary to enjoy through the cooler months ahead.
